Our Mission:
STAR Homeschool Courses provide biblically-centered, college preparatory, classroom instruction, supplementing the academic efforts of home-educating parents, transforming and equipping junior high and high school students in mind and character to impact the world for the Lord Jesus Christ.
Our Values:
We strive for Integrity, Academic Excellence, Service and Support, and Parental Involvement
Integrity—Psalm 119:9 & 10
STAR’s standards of conduct are designed to be in alignment with God’s Word. We expect our staff, parents, and students to uphold and abide by a high standard of moral conduct while pursuing academic excellence. We endeavor to hold each other accountable to these standards, to live in a manner worthy of respect, and to steadfastly adhere to God’s Word as absolute truth.
Academic Excellence—2 Timothy 2:15
STAR is committed to academic excellence through a partnership with homeschooling families who are engaged in a college preparatory education for their teens. We promote academic excellence through the selection of challenging assignments and Christ-centered curriculum. Instructors who are competent, highly motivated, and skilled at delivering excellent classroom instruction provide opportunities for academic success.
Service and Support—Galatians 6:9
STAR is a valuable resource that gives encouragement and help to the families we serve. Our program offers support and assistance to like-minded families by providing greater academic accountability and consistency while giving opportunities for student interaction in a positive and fun environment. Our services are of a high professional quality and are designed to strengthen and enhance relationships.
Parental Involvement—Deuteronomy 6:7
STAR recognizes that parents are the primary educators of their students, and that they are able to make decisions regarding education and spiritual growth. We endeavor to compliment the values of Christian home schooling families who share our values of integrity and academic excellence. We encourage effective communication within our program and rely on our parents’ involvement, both in the classroom and at home.
