Experience Journalism

Committed to diversity within the major, Biola University's Journalism Department is dedicated to helping students from a variety of cultural and economic backgrounds thrive in the world of journalism.

The program prepares students for many exciting careers! Our graduates work around the world in the cutting edge of journalism. Biola Journalism students and alumni have worked in places like the Washington Times, the San Francisco Giants, WTOP (Washington, DC), the Associated Press, Operation Christmas Child, Transparent Productions, Bolt PR and Warner Bros Records.

Experience Journalism provides prospective students with an opportunity to learn more about Biola's Journalism department and experience it in person.

OPTION 1: Attend on Friday & Saturday

Friday, October 11 through Saturday, October 12

Our two-day option allows you to gain a robust view of life at Biola.

Details:

  • Attend faculty-led sessions
  • Interact with current Journalism students
  • Compete in an on-site Journalism contest
  • Attend chapel
  • Spend a night in a dorm
  • Visit an actual class session
  • Tour campus
  • Interact with current Biola students

Cost: $40 through September 30

$50 beginning October 1


OPTION 2: Saturday Only Track

Saturday, October 12
8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Can't attend the whole weekend? There's still plenty for you to experience at the Saturday event!
