BYT receives $2,000 grant from Boeing Employees Community Fund
Boeing has awarded $2,000 to Biola Youth Theatre from their Employees Community Fund (ECF). ECF is made up of Boeing employee contributions, and pooled funds are dispersed to qualifying non-profit organizations. This unique foundation is funded and operated solely by Boeing employees.
James Pfingston, a BYT parent who works for Boeing, sponsored BYT for a grant proposal, and in January 2011 BYT was awarded a $2,000 grant.
Part of an ongoing fundraising campaign by BYT that has raised over $50,000 since 2010, the Boeing grant has helped BYT to continue its mission of providing the La Mirada and surrounding Southern California communities with a quality theatre program that incorporates solid theatre training with spiritual principles and truths.
