Biola Youth's Aquatics classes are taught by Biola University Swim Staff (American Red Cross Certified) and feature five swimming level options with a small student/instructor ratio (8:1).

Swimming Level 1:
Features water adjustment & basic skill development including water entry/exit, front and back float, bobbing blowing bubbles, holding breath, and beginning arm stroke.

Swimming Level 2:
Primary skills taught are prone glide with kick and back float and arm stroke.

Swimming Level 3:
Primary skills taught are basic safety skills, front crawl, finning on back, turning over front to back and back to front, and familiarization with rescue breathing. Students must be able to float comfortably on stomach and back.

Swimming Level 4:
Primary skills taught are increased stamina, water coordination, front crawl refinement, elementary backstroke, back crawl, diving, and safety skills. Students must be able to fin on their backs and swim across the pool and back.

Swimming Level 5:
Students will work on improving skills from levels 1-4 and will learn the breaststroke.Students must have a strong front crawl and technically sound kick on elementary backstroke.
