The Story
Millie Dillmount, a small town girl from Kansas, moves to New York City to marry for money rather than love. In a time when women are new to the workforce, Millie gets a job and finds herself falling in love with Jimmy Smith, a fun-loving but poor salesman. Trouble arises with Mrs. Meers, the owner of the hotel in which Millie stays, and Millie works with Jimmy to expose her. There is drama, love, and entertainment as Thoroughly Modern Millie unfolds.
